We stayed at Arion Swiss-Belhotel, situated in the city itself, for 5 days / 4 nights, also online booking via Air Asia Go Holiday.
Itinerary (amended version)
Day 1
- Arrival at airport. Pick-up and transfer arranged by hotel
- Check-in. Deluxe Room (1 King size bed) + extra bed (inclusive of daily breakfast)
- Lunch at Dapurku, Jalan Lembong
- Shopping at Rumah Mode, Jalan Setiabudi (good place to shop)
- Dinner at The View, Jalan Resort Dago Pakar Raya (uphill and quite far from town but great view)
- Back to hotel
Day 2 - Hired a car (Toyota Avanza) with driver for the whole day ($700K Rupiah)
- Tangkuban Perahu
- Sari Ater Hot Spring
- Lunch at Kampung Daun (highly recommended - my girls love that place)
- Shopping at Factory Outlets in Jalan Dago - Grande, Uptown, Blossom, Glamour, DSE
- Dinner at The Valley (pricey, uphill but nice food and even better view)
- Back to hotel
Day 3 - Hired the same car and driver for half a day ($500K Rupiah)
- Kawah Putih (approx 2 hours drive from hotel)
- Situ Padengan Lake
- Snack at Toko Chocolate (Sells chocolates and cakes)
- Shopping at Factory Outlets in Jalan Riau - Heritage, Cascade, Summit, Terminal Tas
- Back to hotel (had some light food and drinks)
- Dinner at Atmosphere (in the city and very nice atmosphere)
- Shopping at Jalan Riau, again - Secret and Oasis
- Back to hotel
Day 4 - I was not feeling too well, too much makan (eat), cut short shopping trip
- Girls played at the hotel swimming pool
- Saung Angklung Udjo
- Shopping at Jeans Centre, Jalan Chihampelas and Cihampelas Walk (shopping mall)
- Back to hotel
- Paris Van Java (shopping mall) and dinner at Sagoo Kitchen Bandung
- Back to hotel
Day 5
- To Airport (arranged by hotel)
- Airport tax is $75K Rupiah per person
Advice on transportation - When taking taxi, always take Blue Bird taxi. More likely that they will use meter. Trust me, you'll pay much lesser than those not using meter.
If you are the type that don't mind wearing new clothes before washing first, then bring essential items and under garments will do. Bandung is a shopping paradise for clothes. Or else bring extra empty bag(s). You'll appreciate it later. BUT beware of overloading baggage.
