Guess what I had for dinner on Friday (after the previous post “Join Gym”)?
Fried spaghetti, roast drumstick and cauliflower and carrot
This is why I gain weight year after year! Especially after a trip back to Ipoh or after meals of durians. At least 2 kg gained. The weighing scale is probably spoilt, as I hope it would be. I seldom eat high carbo food, only once or twice a week. Still gain weight. Sigh! What to do, I love to eat and snack.
After 4 years stepping out of the working world and taking a new role of being a stay-at-home-mum, my weight soar by 10kg up. That is 2.5kg per year in average. That is more than double of what a regular person would gain per year. Alarming right? If the situation goes on, then I’ll probably turn from overweight to obese. What more alarming was my age is catching up and health probably will deteriorate as I grow older.
As I was reading this article yesterday, boy, I’m glad that I finally responded to the wake up call. Just hoping I will stay discipline and watchful of my diet.
For the past six months of going to gym, my lifestyle has somewhat changed. First I missed the quiet mornings of relaxing and reading (sometimes watch tv). Then at the initial stage, I came back very tired and sleepy like I have gone hiking the whole day. Not to mention muscle ache everywhere. Now that I’ve got used to the changes, I still have to motivate myself to go and complete the PT sessions. Having a hubby who faithfully goes to gym 4 times a week really motivates me.
Another discovery.... At first I had problem losing the Chinese New Year weight gained (of 3kg). Then my PT trainer said that we must count our calories intake. If we keep eating and exercising with almost the same calories in and burn, then we just maintain the weight. If we are able to work out much more than what we eat, then only we can burn the fat in out body. Well, the theory is nothing new. So I tried it for 2 weeks and guess what, I really lost weight.
Oh ya! Good news! I’m going for a holiday with my family to Bandung, Indonesia. Bad news….fine dining there is much cheaper than here. Come back gotto put extra effort in working out....again.

I read this entry before the previous one and I was wondering what PT was! hahaha....
I am also trying to get hubby to do more exercise - hope the kid can motivate him better than me!
As for me, I think I am an exercise freak! If don't do exercise, I will feel one kind and very very grouchy! :)
Good work on the weight lost though! Maybe get a stationery bike after you achieve your desired weight and cycle in front of the TV! Then can watch drama after drama and lose weight at the same time!
Coz God knows for me, watching TV = snacks = weight gain!!
Ann - You ah...drink oil also won't gain weight!
