Once called home

Visits to Muar were always not complete without 'see monkey'. A very popular tourist attraction at Tanjung Ketapang (known to me as Tanjung), next to Muar River, lives many monkeys. They are left living in wild but many tourists like me and maybe some faithful locals too choose to feed them (which is not encouraged  ).

However the recent trip I was saddened by what was going on there. The forrest...the trees....were half gone. They may be a nuisance to residents nearby which is maybe a kilometre or two away. Quite close to some government squatters and a rest house that is not in operation. But whylah clear their home!

Can't understand what is the rational behind this move. Maybe want to beautify the park. I do see a lot of outdoor gym equipments installed. A walkway bridge is built from road to the river. Wondering what's next and how much more money will be spent there. In years to come all facilities will probably not properly maintained or taken care. Start well ends ??? Sense my frustration right!

Sometimes a change is good for the betterment of lifestyle and human being. But as human being we shall appreciate the mother nature and other living things like monkeys.
