Happy Birthday Arielle!

You’re one today! Looking back it was just like yesterday you were born. Now, you’re so active and playful. Seeing how much joy you bring to your parents makes me think back the times before they got married.

Let me tell you a secret (no longer a secret when it’s on my blog, haha!). I’ve known your mother for more than 10 years now and had remained good friends for many, many years. Knowing her, the banana girl, I’ve always thought she would married an Ah Mo or an Ah Neh. However she chose a Kampung Boy instead (yes! that’s your father).

How could that be! You see… your mum is a very pessimistic person but your dad is very optimistic. Your mum likes to ask why, how and all sorts of questions to make it realistic to her but your dad accepts as it is. She needs to see an experiment in front of her own eyes before she can accept the results. And one is a talker and the other is a doer.

Just like an accounts balance sheet, liability and assets. They go hand in hand to balance up the balance sheet, but they sit opposite each other. They can’t be in the same side. However, without one side, the other will be too much. Just like a weighing scale, one too high and the other too low….can’t balance. Your mum and dad are the asset and liability. One cannot live without the other and when they work together, they balance up each other. (Let’s not go into detail who is asset and who is liability.)

How miraculous God work! We can do so much only and with our human mind, we see things humanly. But God has greater plan and He makes impossibilities to possibilities.
